The quality of your sound is incredible! The sheet music is prefaced by saying "...The piece should flow with no indication of technical difficulty." You achieved that flawlessly, without an imperfect note. One of my favourite performances of this piece, thank you.

Serene, pure, enchanting music which brings John Renbourn's Bicycle Tune to mind. If it makes any sense to say that a piece of music shows the beauty of the composer's soul, and the performer's soul, then this is a perfect example.

My first live music experience in a bar was to see Towner... I was 4 years under-age, didn't know what time to show up, got the table right next to the guitar stands and drank a coke for three hours. He played a Prophet-5 with sequencer; piano; and three guitars (I recall a 6-string, 6-string with cutaway, and 12-string, but can't remember if any were classical) That was 1985 so I guess you have me beat by a couple of years!

Nice work. Ralph Towner is a very interesting player and writer, pioneer in blending folk, jazz, and "chamber music" forms and materials. His work with the group Oregon and his many releases on ECM are worth exploring if you enjoy musical hybrids of that kind.

not to mention "world"... Towner McCandless and their first percussionist/sitarist, can't think of the name, were just so... collaborational. Gurtu's a monster player and one of my very favorites but maybe everyone was too skilled and polished by that era to give the sense they were mountain climbing without ropes, so to speak, that sense of danger as they summoned something together.
