Personally, I'd rather the Marvel Legends license go to Jada Toys rather than McFarlane. Don't get me wrong, I'm a McFarlane collector and not a Legends collector at all. I just don't like the idea of one company holding all the franchises (like Disney). Plus I think Jada would do an awesome job with Marvel characters.

The problem i think with a smaller company taking on Marvel or DC is that Jada, while they make good stuff, doesn't have nearly the bandwidth to put out enough figures per year as a company like Hasbro or McFarlane does. Quality over quantity is one thing, but if you want anything but the most popular characters in circulation, you want a Hasbro or McFarlane with the liscece for Marvel and DC. Jada is making great figures, but they need to put out more and more frequently before they can get trusted with a big liscence

I really hope McFarlane won't replace marvel legends, Hasbro's figures look better and McFarlane is a bit stuck in the past, maybe they should all make marvel and DC figures and let us decide what we want

I'd argue that Hasbro is the one Stuck in the past with worse looking figures. They're still using outdated articulation like ab crunches and hinged necks. And most of their figures are unsculpted bland bucks that get reused almost constantly. At least most McFarlane figures have way more sculpted details. And they've been innovating a lot over the years introducing things like sculpted wrist and ankle ball joints. And giving wired cloth capes at the $22 price point. I honestly don't know how Hasbro is the one doing better in your opinion.

@braydenpage1808 respect your opinion but the clothed cape is the only good thing. In this same video the atom has a painted belt and most of the figures can't pose very well. Marvel legends on other hand has it's own disadvantages but they can pose really well and action figures for me is that, posing. As for "stuck in the past" i was referring to pinned joints and the fact that figures come with cards or the fact that you have to hunt down the platinum editions

@@argirisrousis yeah that makes sense. Although pinned joints never have and never will bother me as long as they're the correct color on both sides. And I kinda like the cards, it's a way to get a bio for the figure without it needing to be on the box. The Platinums and chase figures are absolutely something that needs to go. And the plain body are the exception, not the rule. Most figures are either new sculpts or have reused sculpts that are still really good.

The fact that the DC Icons figure of this exact Green Arrow has better accessories and better paint by a mile and came out several years ago tells you all you need to know about these modern big companies.

Great video as always Jason! That Green Arrow really catches the eye. If you happen to review the Justice League Task Force wave, it would be nice to compare them with him. If memory serves me well this was the design that was used in the game

If there’s one Digital figure that my Walmarts have, it’s Atom He is NOT selling 😅 I also found both Gold Label AC 1000 Supes and the Gold Label metallic Green Lantern last weekend. The green paint is soooo pretty 🤩

Honestly Green arrow is cool but only after I painted his mask to be more comic accurate and there was some missing paint for the stitches. I really like it now

Great review, it's cool that the slender Blue Beetle body was used for Atom, does anyone know what other figures it was used for, from what I can tell Booster Gold and maybe Red Tornado.

There have been rumours going around that Hasbro was about to quit the action figure business and the Marvel Legends line would go to McFarlane toys. It turns out it's not true though since Hasbro have confirmed they'll still be making Legends until at least the end of 2026. There are also rumours that McFarlane toys may be about to lose the DC licence, but there's no official word one way or the other yet.
