Thank you so much! I think it's such a pitty they killed her off in Arrow but hopefully we're getting a Birds of Prey movie thanks to Margot Robbie. I just hope they do a good job casting and writing for Dinah, she's so important.

To me, Arrow is only partially canon ever since the writers made it clear that they wanted to pair Oliver with Felicity. I didn’t mind the casting of Stephen Amell, he did the role they asked of him well. And I also didn’t mind a more serious Oliver. But when they killed off Katie Cassidy’s Black Canary I was pissed. So, even though I still liked the show, it lost a lot of what made it special for me. To me, the only really good seasons of Arrow are season 1 and 2. Those were the ones that felt like a comic book adaptation. The others slowly descended into an Oliver x OC fan fiction. So yeah, I like the show and therefore I simply ignore all the Olicity (🤮) bullshit and replace them with Black Canary and Green Arrow scenes in my head. And I do agree that Charlie Hunnam looks more like comic book Green Arrow than Stephen Amell, which is why I also hope they choose him if they ever do a Green Arrow movie. But I’m still OK with Arrow ‘cause it’s an adaptation and never claimed to be anything else, and I like the show. And I was a 100% supporter until they derailed the train with Felicity. She was never supposed to become what she did and it pisses me off that other CW shows like the Flash got more of the source material right. Especially because this bullshit addition of Felicity f*cking Smoak was not needed in the slightest to make a good story. I have nothing against Emily Bett Rickards, it’s not her fault that the character was a huge pile of horse shit. F*ck the writers who thought it was okay to spit in the face of the comic book lovers like that, especially after two seasons of Oliver potentially ending up with two Black Canaries. Yes, Arrow has not one, not two, but THREE Black Canaries. And Oliver doesn’t end up with any of them. I love everything else about Arrow, but f*ck whoever was in charge of the romantic plot.

The Black Canary Cry Because unfortunately Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy had no chemistry. Which is a shame. I remember before the show started I was so freaking excited to finally get a live action Black Canary. Then casting ruined it. It wasn't even that Katie was bad, she's actually really great. She and Stephen just kind of cancelled each other out because they were awful on screen together. I knew it in the first episode they kissed that it was over before it started and I cried. I stopped watching the show then and came back about the start of S3. It's always just gonna be an okay show if you can separate it from the comics. I do like Felicity though. She's just not as beautiful as a truly great Black Canary would have been.
