Can anyone with a bit more knowledge explain to me why these things suck at revving. Like don't get me wrong... Chiron and especially Veyron have epic startup and idle noises, but when they rev it sounds like a city bus. Compare that to the nearby LaFerrari or the likes of the Pagani Huayra with it's obscene popping sounds. Why can't the Chiron do this?

its because of the large engine size. 8.0L and the 4 turbos. since its not Naturally aspirated so it doesnt make the kind of noise you expect

because the ferrari and lambo there engines are aspirated so sound like tese, the bugatti is a quadturbo 8.0l w16 so you hear the turbos and the sound of the big engine

It’s mainly due to the fact turbos muffle the sound of the vehicle. If you watch a video comparing a stock mustang 5.0 to a twin turbo one, the twin turbo one is noticeably quiter
