I was 12 that summer, obsessed with MTV, depressed over Kurt Cobain, and watching this on pay per view. My mind was blown. I still laugh hysterically over Billie Joe continuously insulting the crowd from the moment he got on stage. Calling them all "mud hippies" has to be one of the funniest things ever said on stage at any concert.

Ok, Metallica was pissed because Aerosmith was allowed to use pyrotechnics but they weren’t. Tending to Mike’s broken tooth following the mud incident, a wasted naked guy that got backstage and curled up in a ball when being cuffed, helping a guest locate her party amongst hundreds of thousands in the crowd, stealing the pilots’ golf cart from the heli-pad. Have a heart, that was almost 30 years ago and my memory is not quite so good.

I remember when Nirvana pulled out of Woodstock in early 94 and I was so upset with it I didn't even want to watch the show. Then a few months later Kurt took his life and it put a huge dark cloud over the show not knowing if the show would turn out or not. Then hearing Green Day was booked in Nirvana's spot I was sceptic to say the least. Then once I seen Green Day perform at Woodstock 94 I knew this band was destined for greatness! They put on an amazing performance and just put alternative rock back in everyone's mind for that day. It was an amazing show!
