From what I see and hear, it seems that Jesus of Suburbia would be one short song, not as long as we know it. Possibly the other parts would be separate songs, but then it was considered to put them all together.

That is exactly what happened. The same with Homecoming. They where 4 short songs which where combined into one. That’s what also got them to combine songs together (I.e Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams)

@furrettheferret9562 The JoS and Homecoming part is true, but Holiday and Bvd are separate tracks, only combined because streaming services don't buffer the next song and have a short but noticeable pause between songs that flow into one another.

Amazing how JOS could have been a 2 and a half minute song, and that the producer, BJ, or Green Day, had the vision of a 9-minute song and it may have been the best decision.

@@nancycastillo5632 obviamente los demos, que creo que es mejor denominarlos maquetas a este punto, ya eran grabados en el mismo estudio donde hacían el producto final, no como la era dookie que grababan los demos por medio de casettes y grabadoras baratas, por eso su calidad, ademas de que imagino que por el 20 aniversario los remasterizaron

Guess it makes sense the demo would only be 2 minutes long. The finished version is literally 3-4 different, smaller songs stitched together into 1 cohesive narrative.
