So far I've heard 4 songs from the upcoming new album and they're all good. Clearly "Saviors" is shaping up to be their best album since 2009's "21st Century Breakdown", or their most inspired since 2004's "American Idiot". More power to them, few bands are able to maintain such longevity over 3 decades of lulls in relevance or popularity. Also see their side-project The Network, those 2 albums are really cool.

I feel exactly the same way, except I discovered them as a teen in the Dookie/Insomniac days. And i can’t tell you how much it means to me to see one of my favorite bands still around putting out awesome music and winning over new generations decade after decade. I remember arguing with my older cousin in 1995 or so that Green Day would still be around and bigger than ever 20+ years later, and she said they would fall off the face of the earth after one or two albums. Well, look who won that battle 😂

I love this comment so much! I was listening to Green Day very early in my life. I was a kid around the American Idiot era in 2004, but that's my earliest memories of listening to them! When they became my absolute favourite band though, that was in my teen years around 2012, Uno, Dos, Tré era. By this point I was listening to all their past albums, and excited for every album that followed. And I do mean EVERY album, lol. People like to forget about certain albums, but I honestly love when bands try new things, especially if it makes them happy. There will always be the fans who support them no matter what, and that's what I have done. Green Day's music has helped me a lot throughout the years, and has been a huge part of my life. Their 2017 RevRad tour was the first concert I went to, and I went with my husband. Now my kids listen to Green Day with me, and are excited to hear them on the radio or performing live on tv. I'm loving this album so far, and can't wait to hear/see anything else they have planned for the future! Love these guys! ❤🖤🤘

@@alexanderanfilatov4457hey, I’ve been a fan since the mid 90’s as well, and Dookie, Insomniac, and ALL their albums hold a very special place in my heart, but I think these last few songs have been phenomenal. To me, it sounds like an older, wiser, more mature Green Day, but it still feels true to the roots of three guys from the bay getting together in high school to form a punk rock band. FOAM was maybe their low point musically, and that’s ok to admit, but I can’t hear these new songs and not argue that they are back in top shape once again, and arguably stronger than ever.

I like it when they're able to do some songs in the vein of their old stuff without just simply redoing it and this song nails it. It's like a grown up version of something they would have put on Dookie or Insomniac, the video is very Insomniac era. But they have kinda said that the whole album is like a culmination of everything they've done (Not really what they said but that's the jist I got) and is basically a bridge between Dookie and American idiot

I´m a Green Day fan since September 2012, i´ts been a crazy 11 year ride with you guys. How the hell do they keep their energy so well since 1987? It´s awesome!!!

We took our daughters to a Z Rock Christmas show at MSG back in the 90s and Green Day performed a couple of their hits. Just a terrific band.

If someone came out and said this was a cut from Dookie, I’d believe it. Absolutely pumped for Saviors.

This and Dilemma are my top favorites! I like how they've experimented with their sound (not that they're done experimenting) even if I didn't always like the results. lol But now they have returned to form and it's incredible!! Strong, fun songs! 🤘🏽

A back to basics album is absolutely desired and this checks the boxes! Love seeing Green Day, Blink 182 and Sum 41 releasing albums of this caliber 30 years in 🔥🔥🔥

I've been a die hard Green Day fan my whole life. First concert I ever went to was Green Day with Jimmy Eat World for their American Idiot tour in Hartford, CT when I was 8 years old. I stopped following them after 21stCBD but this Album might be their best yet. It's a perfect projection of the world today with the CLASSIC Green Day sound.

I’ve been a fan since I was 11 and now I’m 40. I caught Billie Joe’s tie in 2004 when he threw it into the crowd at the American Idiot tour & still have it. Can’t wait to see Green Day next summer!
