Billie Joe has a very distinct voice and style of playing the guitar so anyone could easily pick out a Green Day song even with the different styles.

The great and beautiful thing about music is that you're free. Free to write whatever you want. Whatever sound you want. Yes yes dookie was an amazing album. I agree! I love dookie! But Green Day isn't entitled to any specific sound. No band is! I think they've proven that with nightlife. They're more than just punk rockers. They're fuckin' musicians man! You don't have to like all their sounds but at least respect them! They love music so so much! So much that they have like what? 4 to 5 side bands? So much that Billie continued to write music on his break. That's serious love and dedication. Green Day are true musicians. Not "sell outs".

Where they all just sit down and it's one take? Because it's really not.
