For anyone that doesn't know, Billie(Lead Singer) wrote this song to convey the same sense of loss he felt when he lost his father at the age of ten. He told his mother to 'Wake me up when September end' sometime after the funeral. Kenny, you did this song justice and I thank you for it.

I can relate to this song. I lost my grandfather on the first day of June of 2021 (technically last day of May, the doc's just confirmed it passed midnight). I was in so much grief that I was out of work for about a month, I even had to quit because I didn't want corporate to fire me. I miss you grandpa. 😢 Beautiful cover Kenny, btw.
