I know that music is subjective to a certain extent, but I definitely think that bohemian rhapsody is objectively the best song ever
@filmskanauka63642 жыл бұрын
@@arrrrrran3043 For the longest time I have believed in something I now think is complete BS. For a long time i have believed there’s a difference between the best song and your favorite song. But as I listen to more and more music, I’m starting to question that. Going back to your example, when you say Bohemian Rhapsody is objectively the best song ever, says who? And what makes that correct? There’s no objective unit of measurement that determines that Bohemian Rhapsody is technically a better song than Whatsername. If I told you to prove it, you can’t, it’s simply someone’s individual experience with the song. You listen to Bohemian Rhapsody and to you the instrumentation was better, the lyrics were better, the arrangement was better, but there’s nothing that says that’s true. For something to be objectively true, it needs to be proven somehow. I can say that Whatsername hasn’t been played with full band since 2005, because that is an undisputable fact that can be checked and proven as truth. Anything that can’t do that is subjective. That’s why I believe best and favorite are actually synonyms. And look, I’m not thrashing on Queen, I love them, but there is no way to prove that they made the “objectivley” best song ever. Music is an experiental art, and that’s why I love Whatsername so much. That song resonates with me more than any other and it creates emotion that Bohemian Rhapsody, or any other song for that matter, can even hope to recreate in me. I hope to see it live someday and I love it, but I still can’t prove it’s objectively the best song. Everyone has a song they view as the best, and it’s subjective to all extent. So, s I said, for me personally, Whatsername is the best song ever written.

I don't know his name off the top of my head, but yes I'd say he played maybe half of the set? Basically a supplemental guitarist for more recent songs that have more guitar parts or songs Billie wanted to run around for like St. Jimmy

I’m bored of seeing them live now because they always just play the same songs, drag Hitchin A Ride out for 20 minutes and it’s the same old thing. If they started playing more non-single songs like this and older material, I would definitely go and see them again. Also, nice to hear them singing without all that “hey ohh” nonsense. I’ve seen them about 3 times now. They are good live, but a bit boring now. For me anyway. This was an amazing performance though and it’s also my favourite song from American Idiot.

Yeah the stadium setlist is definitely getting a bit stale for me, I can't knock not wanting to see them rehash that repeatedly. Still a good quality show if you haven't seen it, but it is harder to justify the more times it doesn't change somewhat... it was such a treat to witness this show and I hope it inspires them to try to sprinkle in some more songs like these again. This song definitely deserves more plays, i love it too
