0:58 you’ll notice the actual animation itself is slower too so by finding a Cue in your jumpshot you’ll be able to adjust. It takes skill

It gets quicker when it’s contested and your shot timing impact and def immunity is not high enough. I know melo 2x Oscar the timing impact is like a D or C so when I’m contested it alters. But my jumper that I have all A+ on it doesn’t alter much at all

Noticeability can probably vary by timing impact. Since Curry’s timing impact is great, your Δ was small. This is just my assumption. You should try Lamelo since his timing impact is a little worse and it’s the most popular base in the game.

Does the Spot-Up Precision Takeover increase your chances of making (standing) contested shots? For example, if a 99 3pt without Takeover cannot green a 70% contest, will a 99 3pt with Spot-Up Precision open up the green window for the 70% contest? I'm using 99 3pt as an example since Sharp Takeovers increase your 3pt rating

There’s no skill gap though, because you’ll be shooting 99% of your shots OPEN (assuming you have IQ 🤣), so the rare chance where someone jumps in your landing zone out of nowhere, it’ll throw you off completely.

The real question is, why isnt shooting consistent? Like i’ll shoot 10 wide open shots with the same timing and i bet you i wont hit one or two of them just because after the bar is full and the ball is released the bar appears again and then bounces back. Does anyone know why?

If you’re talking about the green window shrinking after shooting, Most likely not “wide open” regardless of what coverage 2K tells you. That coverage was calculated when u started pressing the button. If you’re talking about the white part bouncing it’s because you’re late. The meter goes down much faster than it goes up.

@@ecinZtark nah u dont understand, lets have an example: the shot is 1 second long and i’ll shoot 10 shots where i time the shot exactly 1 second every time. The white part of the meter is at the top and the green window is big. Wide open, in fact sometimes in “practice” before games where there is no defender. After the ball is released, the meter dissapeared and the shot should be perfect the meter then reappears for like a second and the white part bounces back

I only have one Question, Are We shooting with the Shot Meter On Or Off At This Point in 2k23? I was shooting with it off and I find that it was Better for me to only go off of The Shot Marker/Que=Top of the Players Head, Then I saw where Having the shot meter on doesnt have that much of - affect as precious years and ppl were actully turning their meter on this year. So what has been you guys experience this Year? Shot meter on Or Off? P.S having it on for layups have helped me Make more difficult layups.

Its personal preference. The meter has been delayed online since 2k20 so a lot of people have it off because that just distracts them

I never played without the meter, this year started shooting well with it but after season 1 my timing was off so i decided shooting without the meter cant say i make most of them but been shooting pretty good now ,even free throws where off but no meter fixed that for me atleast in rec. Also it may sound funny but in layups timing i try to look at the shoes and when my player jumps i release the stick or square.

So this 2k series has made people with pretty huge delay cannot green contest shots because of changing shot timing, just by using muscle memory. Now you can only take wide open shot (which is rare) or shoot contested shot then pray, which limits a lot of people’s gameplay and fun. Guess it’s time to leave the game 🤦🏻‍♂️
