Unpopular opinion (maybe): Okey, so I guess it's only a matter of time before George leaves Hollyoaks sooner rather than later (and probably for good). That sucks. I found the character interesting and complex, which sets up for some interesting plotlines. Not to mention that I liked the relationship between George and John Paul (that is before the abuse etc started ofc.). Kind of hope they find a way to continue their relationship/his storyline. I would, for instance, love to see what's behind George behaviour (it wouldn't apology for it, but it's a part of the bigger picture). One option that Hollyoaks could look into it was to have George go into therapy, but I don't think that is the direction Hollyoaks is going to take. It's kind of a shame to be honest. It would be a very interesting way to see how George would maneuverer through his stuff, and work on himself, while still learning new stuff about him and his past.

Yh I think you’re right,their relationship was good at first but I think it was always hinted that something darker was hiding somewhere, it would be interesting if Hollyoaks gave us an insight to what made George into the manipulative and controlling person he is, and what drives him to do what he has been doing to John Paul and how ever many others. I think with this storyline and the McQueens being so tightly knit I reckon Hollyoaks is definitely going to pull another couple of soap awards out the bay this year. It’ll be interesting to see things from everyone’s perspectives, especially those of John Paul’s closest friends - I also have a strong feeling that Nancy, James and John Paul’s son will have big roles in this storyline.

@@thuuren9471 Yh I agree, Hollyoaks often looks into the aftermath of the victim rather than the aggressor which I think we can all agree that they always do brilliantly and portray all of the characters to a very realistic plot line but it would be very interesting to see the directors and producers do something different with this storyline, like a 2 single episodes solely based on each character. Maybe bring back Hollyoaks Later? 👀 Either way this has potential to be an amazing storyline and I wish all the actors and actresses taking part in it the best of luck - they are doing a great job!

So far there is not much to suggest James to be capable of loving anyone. He sees his conquests as trophies to impress and toys to manipulate. Just remember what he did to Harry after learning Harry was going to be a father, to JP after learning he had sidestepped with Ste, or what he said to Scott when he broke up with him. James is a user, and quite the psychopath. Even though he finds other men attractive, and also feels personal satisfaction knowing they find him attractive, the love part of relationships is a total mystery to him. He is not capable of love, just imitating other people`s words and behavior of what it is like to be in love. But he doesn`t feel it. Had he loved Harry, he could not have brought himself to sedate him so Harry missed his trial date, resulting in an arrest order being issued for Harry. Nor could he have pretended Ste was in the both of the car when James pushed it over the cliff, to punish JP. People simply don`t do something so extreme to people they love. But seek to protect and shelter them from such experiences, and the scars they leave.
