Something i never understood about 'realistic' games like this is the fact of how easy it is to make a campfire. If you cut down a tree the wood would still be wet amd would be for weeks and would take hours to rub into a flame. Realistically you would have to find wood on the ground which would at least be a little kore dry and make a small fire. Then syart placing larger logs near ot to try and heat them up and dry them out. Then you could use it as easy fire wood. Also coconuts are drupes.
@archbishopmactasty766 жыл бұрын
@armitageist So I agree with the dry wood but he is in the rain forest so he wouldn't be able to find any dry wood of any decent size so he the best he can do. Also depends on the kinda tree, i live in Florida amd it woukd take a while bit you could cut down small palms with a knife but yeah the cuts wouldn't be clean.
@HomoErectusIsAFunnyName6 жыл бұрын
Because gameplay>realism. In reality "rubbing" fire is really hard, take hours and very unreliable. Even professionals struggle with it sometimes (this is why so important to tribal people to keep the fire alive). But if you think about it it wouldn't be so much fun to sit above the fireplace for minutes trying to create fire.

There is a game called The Forest. survival, stealth/or aggressive playstyles, chopping trees in vr...lost tribes and secret mystery to discover why you are there. inventory system where you open your backpack onto a blue tarp and craft there...recipes and blueprints come in a book, one you happened to have wrote as your character is a survival type like bear grylls. and said book had nice icons on tabs to show you which chapter you want... all i am saying is...The Forest was directly inspired by 1970's movies and this game you played here, is called Green Hell and has pictures of natives extremely similar to the ones from the movie of the same name by eli roth... which was also directly inspired and desired to emulate the same movies from the 1970s as the Forest. a game which was made by a really small developer team and has made it thru the greenlight and early access process and a vr release...oh it has multiplayer so you can panic and run into trees in the dark with your besties ;)

Now instead of 1 perception, 1 Intelligence... The bad stats are spreading. But, as they do, we learn more about Jons build. I mean, his Charisma and Luck are clearly at a 10, but what about his other S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats?

@z-beeblebrox6 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's possible to get more realistic *cough* obnoxious *cough* than that winter survival one that tracks every goddamn thing the body does with hidden meters that only alert you when you're facing certain doom, and any time spent outside puts you at risk of frostbite. If anything, they're all just homogenizing. This one doesn't look much different mechanics-wise from that one that starts you on a crashed airplane on cannibal island.
