So a lot of people are asking why I didn't include GHZ from Sonic Adventure 2. The reason is, that I wanted to keep everything in 2D, and also playing only as Classic Sonic. That's because it sync up good with previous and next levels. But maybe I'll change this for the next 50th Ring videos, if you want.

It was apparently supposed to be the same zone too if the beta for Sonic 2 MD is any indication: Emerald Hill, Chemical Plant, Hill Top & Dust Hill were all meant to be alternate time period versions of Green Hill. Namely Good Future (?), Bad Future, Past & Ruined Present respectively.

@@InvaderSkyp I don't know. I enjoy imagining it, but I don't know if I'd enjoy it being a full game experience, might be a bit over-the-top. Honestly I don't like Sonic CD's past/future gimmick at all. Another version of it probably wouldn't change that, it would probably be annoying. I'm an ideas person more than I am a practicalities person. The concept made me smile; very few game series have been going on for long enough with enough of a mainstream focus to be able to do something like that. That doesn't make it a good idea (it probably isn't), but it does make it a fun thought. :)

Something I miss about old Sonic and old Mario is the rarity of their currency and how important it was to collect it whenever you came across it. It made it so much more precious. In Sonic, you had to collect it or else no chance at obtaining Chaos Emeralds. In Mario, collecting enough would give you an extra life so you don't have to start at the beginning of the world. Nowadays it's just there to guide you through the level. No more significance other than "ooh! Shiny!"

I am to conclude that no modern or renewed scenario of this game and mechanics (sonic generations included) can beat the original form. Even if it is pixelized, without those fancy graphics. It is not meant for Sonic. Sonic is speed, rich scenarios and music. Music is half of that for me (preps to Tiago Tee Lopes). Sonic Mania is the perfect example. I only believe again in a game if its Sonic Mania 2 (hope someone hear me, C.Whitehead please). Until then, i am stuck with Mania. What a game ❤️💙
