Nice to hear how excited you got at the Lost Lake. It's my favourite lane but getting more difficult now. I read the comments about the people destroying the cottage as well. These are the ones that cause so much grief. Thanks for picking up other people's rubbish too. We do the same but it always comes back. Looked cleaner than normal actually. Noticed the new perimeter fencing as well. Tastefully edited too on that section you filmed.

Thank you for your comment, I see your profile picture is Lost Lake. Yes such a lovely place will deffo go back. They have put a fence up to stop people going off pieced to much. The lane is looking quite bad in places could do with drying out. I always try and take a bit of rubbish with me if I can, I’m a strong advocate of “Leave no trace” everywhere I go.

It looks like a lot of people camp up on the hill next to the cottage, is that the best place to go?

@GERfusion I first camped where you stopped the night but have also camped on the 'lower track' close to the lake as there's a good flat section. Main issue there is the midges and the sheep smell! By the bird nest is good too. I do know that's off the main lane though but have camped up there. Are you aware it's classed as "King's land" and as such there's no real private owner? I don't like destructive off piste at all but have used bypasses when needed. You can be responsible but are always judged regardless. Also camped before the gate leading down to the main cottages. ///gradually.wiggles.vast is a good wild camp nearby if you want to check that out.

@@greenhenryYT There is an owner, it's all registered and discoverable via Land Registry etc. There are lots of local tales and myths about the land ownership up there - but it's pretty clear once you start looking.

@@greenhenryYT Yes, up by the birds nest looks nice and reasonably flat. Like you say, it is off piste a bit but not by much and there is well used tracks leading up to it. No I didn’t know it’s King’s land. That’s great to know, tbh I don’t know much about the place just that it is a wonderful spot. Thank you for all the info. As for that other place I will check it out. Thank you for your help. It’s greatly appreciated and if you do know any other good spots I’m always open to new locations. Thanks again!
