Green Laning in the Yorkshire Dales - Ingleton to Hawes

We take a brace of Jimnys from Lancashire into Yorkshire.
Full length videos of many of these lanes will be uploaded at some point for those who like to watch every bump!
I think I've discovered the cause of the erratic 'clunk' from the offside rear.... Turns out my rear silencer was swinging into the towbar bracket! Hopefully the next trip out should be a quieter one!

Hi Bike lugger looking at your video at 8.23 you are seen on the road from Arncliffe to Kilnsey which kind got me rather puzzled when it is Ingleton to Hawes... presuming you got some footage mixed up while putting this video together... good video

Hi Megan! Well, I never said it was a direct route! In fact we usually try to fit as many lanes in as possible to make the day out more interesting which often involves some zigs and zags. Good eye to spot the road, but we did drive down there before heading back north through Starbotton. Cheers, Matt.

What gear are you generally using ? 4wd hi or lo for most of the drive ?

For most of that I was probably in high range, certainly where it’s level and fairly smooth. Low is good when it gets tricky or you need to go slow in a controlled manner. Always worth being in low before you really need to be. Time lost changing between ratios can loose momentum and get you stuck, not great if you’re in a river!

The first lane with the water sections is a lovely UCR north of Chipping. Then it shifts to one north of Melling.
