Yeah I’m 50/50 on creator centric books or just titles but I’m happy to have it in general because this era of GLC is top tier!

I haven’t read anything from this run. I love Tomasi’s Superman and Batman and Robin. Geoff Johns’s Green lantern is also awsome. So I guess I have to check this one out. 🤔 Thanks again for the recommendation. 👏🏻

The book covers themselves were never a wraparound, they were two separate covers from the ongoing series.

Without having a table of contents in the John’s omnibus, how would I read these side by side? Is there a list you recommend consulting?

I would recommend reading the GLC Omni after the story Recharge in the GL By John’s omni. Recharge is collected in both the Green Lantern By Johns Omni and GLC Omni. The issues that follow still double dip a lot with GL By John’s but some issues of GLC flesh out the characters and story. That is where I would start reading the book and continue reading side by side minus the issue that are collected in both.

just bought this bad boy i hope its as good as the geoff johns run that was brilliant got all three volumes of the geoff johns and the second volume was a bit of hit and miss for me and it felt like bits of the story were missing but it soon picks up the pace again in volume 3 so i hope this is the same and EPIC

I think it is around that caliber of story! I think this title fleshes out so many more characters new and old and builds so much more of the lore that while it’s epic in scale it’s also fresh feeling. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, when you do get to reading it I would love to hear your thoughts!

@@Illuminerdy_ well om just tucking into it now and so far its rocking it and stepping up the pace thats the thing i like about dc comics its all a sef contained story thats the thing that annoys me with marvel it always feels like when you read a stoy arc the story never feels self contained and its always read issue whatever to find out what happened here and it turns out to fully get whats going on you have to read a load more comics and it goes on like that and i know why marvel do it to sell more comics to get a proper clousre on a story line the worst one been The Twelve Omnibus X-men Vs. Apocalypse that story starts and everythings set up in the magneto war and if ya dont read that you have absolutely no idea whats going on and that story line carries on over about 4 omnibuses the The Twelve Omnibus X-men Vs. Apocalypse adn the magneto war but if you havcent read the full magneto rare and just bought that omnibus youd never understand the plot and story thats bad on marvel that really but that said their star wars stuff has been exceptional but im liking green latern and considering i did buy the geoff johns green latern on a whim as well and it blew me away to be honest and so far this is looking the same just as things get bad it gets worse i like it what i love about DC comics they certainly are setting the pace with the quality of storylines and pushing the boundaries with the art and heavy storylines adn producing amazing works of art

A lot of differences when it comes to the story telling between Marvel and DC and you will continue to learn which you prefer, it’s the growing pains of liking comics sadly haha Marvel used that marketing style of telling stories in multiple books alot in the late 80s early 90s but as of recently they don’t do it as much, but still do at times. The Geoff Johns GL Omnis and The Green Lantern Corps Omnis take place during what I consider not only Peak DC but also peak comic books In general. Everything feels self contained until it boils over, stakes are higher then ever and no one is safe, and the lore/details of the DC universe get expanded even more so. The green lantern corps double dips a lot with the Geoff Johns omnibus Vol 1 BUT the content it does have from the green lantern corps title is remarkable and really fresh especially when you start meeting the recruits and find favorite characters in that line up as they are fleshed out. I’m excited to keep hearing from you!

@@Illuminerdy_ awesome well its good i like it the green latern corps but alas i suffer from the age of problem of not reading things properly and i got about 200 pages into it and then sopmething come up from what happened at the start and because not read it properly i have no idea so had to restart it and reread it properly but yeah DC are the best image has its moments like walking dead and invincible i liked invincible that was a dig at marvel them books the entire way tthey set the stage in invincible is a dig at marvel comics but once you get past the glaring digs at marvel then its superb but onlyu thing ive really read of dc is batman and green latern and john constintine and fables but batman is still king in my house although green latern may well take that crown but ive never read justice league and i never fancied that to be honest or superman but DC in general just has that edgy thing going on with their story lines and darkness and twists and turns you never really get that with marvel with the exception of the x men and the star wars stuff but that said its like days of future past and that storyline the days of future past amounted to 2 comics and while its great they never really push it and yep its a case of read issue whatver to find out what happened and thats it in terms of the days future past storyline got the big thick book of it and they never offer closure on that storyline

Each publisher has its positives and negatives but as long as your reading comics and enjoying the process then that’s all we can do my friend!
