@@twinodoom It's been retconned a lot and the exact version of events that's canon is unclear. But at least in the storylines when they happened. Hal was never 'possessed'. He was never being forced to make decisions and he was in control of his own actions. Parallax was influencing him from a distance. But Hal Jordan made choices and has to live with those choices. Choices to put his fear of losing control and losing the people that matter to him above his respect for free will. Choices to try and instill fear in others to create a faux sort of peace. He succumbed to the same trap as Sinestro did (and this is ignoring the fact that in the original story there was no inter-dimensional space bug. Hal just had a breakdown which was retconned into Space-Bug when they wanted to bring him back).

Hal's an interesting case cuz i believe he's one of the few people who can effectively use different rings pretty well. i dont wanna say it's a color affinity, but more of he knows how to ringsling. it's just he went yellow cuz he lost the backings of green lantern corp and has been telling himself wut he's doing is right and ultimately succumbing to fear throughout injustice. sinestro's a little different in this injustice cuz he's actually delusional that Hal's his bff or at least in the injustice comic so he orchestrated a few events to get Hal to stand by him. which makes his redemption all the more satisfying in Injustice 2 cuz he's not only back w/ green, but he also stood up to regime Superman as well. even if he didn't win, it was abt standing up for wut was right instead of hiding behind the cowardice that yellow represented

I feel like Yellow Hal was never truly evil or completely loyal to Superman or Sinestro, Hal more than likely joined Superman to save himself and probably diluted himself into thinking what Superman was doing was right, Yellow Hal was weaker and lost to many because he wasn’t truly into the battle and was a Green Lantern in his heart he fights for justice and honor not fear and control. That’s why Yellow Hal didn’t put up a fight when Superman defeated Sinestro and willingly gave him his yellow ring so fast.
