Different Texas was created because Anglo settlers wanted to keep slaves and under Mexican law that was illegal... Vermont was created before the American revolution even happened.

I just finished playing a Roblox conquest game, where I had formed a greater New English state that spanned from new Jersey and new York to new Brunswick and nova Scotia, with the 2nd largest navy in the world and colonies in Africa and new guinea. It was independent from 1796-1811, and I had been listening to one of my many playlists that had this song in it. When it became independent this was playing, and when it rejoined the united states this was playing. Coincidence? I think not
