It's funny how a group with origins in San Francisco became a wildly successful Southern rock band. And so many hits from a relatively short-lived band. I think you'll enjoy Green River. I don't think you've reacted to Lookin' Out My Back Door, Proud Mary, or Suzie Q. All worthy for reactions.

@@nyobunknown6983 I say Southern Rock because Fogerty had that distinct Southern twang to his voice and the majority of their songs are set in the South and have Southern themes. They did definitely have a unique sound that is hard to classify in one genre.

Oh, man, you know what you should do? Proud Mary. First by CCR, then by Ike and Tina. It's as if they're totally different songs. You'll love it!

My favorite band ever. I could listen to them on repeat forever. And yes, do Grapevine. It's so cool. They never hurry. They just lay there and let you bask in the swampy sun of it all.

Green River is about a summer vacation campground. It's probably in California. Not swampy. "Barefoot girl, dancin' in the moonlight." And yes, yes, YES to the CRR version of "Grapvine!"

Time for some Swamp Rock. A&A will love it. John Fogertys voice adds "creedence" to everything he sings. "Looking Out My Back Door" next.😎

If you're into CCR, you might want to try Blood, Sweat and Tears next. "Spinning Wheel" and "And When I Die" are good places to start. Same kind of folky sound, but less Southern.

"Green River" and "Willy and the Poor Boys" are their two most consistent albums if you ever go for a full ride. "Lodi" is the key single you have not covered. Tons of bar bands did it back in the day...

CCR is just classic. Nothing more iconic American classic than that IMHO. My father grew up with them so I grew up with them as well and that was probably my father's best contribution to me.
