I was born and grew up in Hendersonville starting in the early to mid 60's. This was back before all the kayaking began around the area and this stretch of the Green River was known by locals simply as the place where you just DON'T go. To watch you guys navigate this legendary segment of the river with such courage, skill and finesse is incredibly impressive! BRAVO and ENCORE! lol

It's pretty awesome. We used to go camping in Saluda and people staid away from that river. Such a dangerous spot but these guys have tremendous skill.

Lmao this stretch of river was legendary fishing and camping back then, definitely wouldn’t say it was a “don’t go” amongst locals.

oh I miss paddling this river...I was just telling my kids about Groove Tube and Rapid Transit the other day, two of my favorites. At Sunshine @ 6:57, you can also paddle back under the waterfall.

Being 70 years old and having run a few Class II rapids, after watching this video I'm totally ready to enter next year's Green River Race in my Dagger Axis 10.5!! Just one question though: What's a "boof"? 😁
