Food can be beneficial for more than just eating. Applying certain foods topically to your skin can be very nourishing as well. Today I'm going to show you how to make a Matcha Green Tea Yogurt Mask that'll help prevent acne while fading your scars.
Matcha Green Tea Yogurt Mask Recipe:
Ingredients -
- 1 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 1-2 tbsp Organic Greek Yogurt (unsweetened & plain)
- Organic Honey
Preparation -
It's really important to use all organic ingredients when it comes to your skin.
Mix the green tea, yogurt, and honey together and then apply a even layer mask to your face.
We already know that Matcha Green Tea is really good for you with tons of antioxidants. But it also has cooling and anti-inflammatory effects too. Yogurt is also really great for your skin due to the Zinc and Lactic Acid. This is really great for preventing acne, lightening your scars, as well as tightening your pores. Honey has anti-microbial properties that help heal infections.
Leave it on for about 15 minutes then wash it off completely. You'll feel your skin tighten up and baby smooth.
I love using natural ingredients for my face because a lot of times when I buy stuff from the store I'll break out or have some sensitivity to it.

I love making natural masks! I would highly recommend a turmeric, yogurt and lemon juice (or honey depending on sensitivity) mask for acne and fading scars from acne. It works really well!

Green tea scrub! using only the green tea leaves. i usually use the one in the tea bag. after i make myself a good nice cup of hot green tea, open the tea bag, take the leaf and scrub on my face. it makes my skin looks brighter :D

i used normal 3,5%fat yoghurt. I think the lactid acid burnt a bit, but I have really sensitive skin. still left it on for the full 15 minutes and now my skin is so smooth and soft that I can't stop touching my face! thanks for the recipe

i just made my own face mask same thing happens to me when i use store stuff.. break outs ! instantly as well.. i get quite crafty when i do my making of face masks i made this one just recently and have it on my face at this very moment it feels cooling and energizing and heres wat i used to make my concoction : used or un-used green tea bags 4 for small batch 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 egg whole or wat ever u prefer 1tsp coconut oil first ill always mix my coconut oil with the tea grounds thoroughly making sure they get the moisture into them then ill add in everything else mixing with a fork then i add my egg last. if you find the egg is wayyy too much for a small batch and too runny just add more tea grounds. i also make this scrub using sea salt and coconut oil and a pinch of baking soda as well.. i usually find that 2 tbp coconut oil along with 2-4 tbsp sea salt and 1 tbsp of baking soda is very exfoliating. i need my scrubs extra gritty its all bout trial and error so have your fun with it.

What a great idea! Besides that it sounds really really good for the skin, it looks yummy as well :) One question, isn't it a bit sticky afterwards on the face, because of the honey?

It is tasty! :P the mask actually dries up after 10 minutes so it isn't sticky at all. I usually wash it off completely with warm water and soap. Give it a try and I hope you like it! :)

I make a mask of green tea and honey. Dampen the tea, mix with honey, apply to face then look like a sea creature from the deep for 15 to 20 minutes. Once you was it off, your skin has the most awesome glow to it.

+Honeysuckle. Lime juice ( a great acid base. Many anti acne products have this type of substance) + raw sugar (this will be an awesome exfoliating) + honey ( healer for other scars). I personally recommend doing this at night, otherwise the sun may hurt you.

You can make a small batch and keep it in the fridge! I would only make enough for few days at a time though. Keep in air tight jar like a small mason jar!
