Green Valleys Mountain Bike Park - Wollongong NSW

Geeze there are some big boy gaps here. MUCH larger than we were prepared to hit!
Had a great day on the trails for our first mission to the park. There aren't many jumps where we're from so it was cool to progress throughout the day and slowly hit more stuff.
Would definitely recommend an over nighter in future. First day just suss everything out, second day start to link it all up and SEND IT!
Most of the trails feel good on a 5-6" trail bike, however I was surprised how they rode really well adn quick on a DH bike (only mentioning this as a lot of new trails are sluggish on a DH bike these days).
DO NOT expect to rock up and the day and ride these trails. They're privately owned and you're going to want to book probably 4x weeks in advance to be safe.

This place is dangerous, I did the same as your mate but ended up with broken ribs. Not for the inexperienced. DH bike, professional protection and a back up driver. The regular guys are fine, its the one day wonders at risk, I only lasted 2 hours so bad investment and now weeks to recover and reflect. Lots of insane jumps with sketchy landings.

Haha yeah it was definitely overwhelming for a day trip! Our second trip up there was a bit better settling into a few more lines and knowing the tracks. It would be good to do a few back to back weekends to hit a few of the bigger gaps. Definitely a progressive park for guys wanting to push their limits!

Gareth Mack, Its one of those things, because it is there you want to do it, to push yourself but I have heard of alot of accidents there. A dh rig and full body armour with a reserve driver too..def wouldnt go on a windy day!

Places aren't dangerous, riders that don't acknowledge their limits are dangerous to themselves. There is so much progression in this park, something for everyone...but it still doesn't mean you should be hitting stuff you have no right to. It takes lots of time and practice to hit some this stuff... Yet guys think they can go there and hit everything. Maybe KZbin has a lot to answer for LOL
