For awhile when I was a kid we lived in a single wide 2 bedroom. A third of the trailer was the master bedroom walk in closet and bathroom. We had to share a small bedroom with a full size bed and a set of bunk beds with about 8 inches between them. It was 4 kids, 2 boys 2 girls in the tiny room.

I don't like carpet either for the same reasons. A guy I know said to never put powdered rug freshener on your carpet. It's mostly baking soda and will go through carpet backing and get trapped on top of the spongy padding and never completely vacuum up. Accidents happen; so any liquid mixed with the powder turns into mud which dries into chalk.🙄 This is another great video guys! I love you all! I look forward to the next so I can see my boys.🤗 ☮️💖🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱🇺🇦✝️🙌🤜

Hey guys I'm new to your channel as of today. I love what you guys are doing as a couple I think that's awesome. On top of which I think it's actually awesome you moved to Tennessee. It's a beautiful state, I wish one day I can live there but right now I'm still stuck in Michigan. Anyway if I can give you guys a suggestion. When I used to live in my single wide, 20 years ago, I did a similar thing and redid all the drywall. Before you drywall, since you have to replace insulation anyway, put insulation in the interior walls. Around the closet, between the kitchen and your bedroom, and especially around your bathroom. It's well worth the extra money. The amount of sound it will cut down and warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I lived in my house for a whole year before I did anything and I noticed a huge difference. Keep up the great videos I'm going to go back and start watching from the beginning!!

I couldn't agree with you more on carpet being such a catch-all for so many things that cause alot of us, alot of with respiratory problems, even more problems! A 'bare' floor may be a bit cooler, but throw rugs and a desire to breathe easier is better in my book ànyday! Thanks bunches for sharing this with us! Peace to all....

My husband and I really like you. We both just subscribed to your channel separately. We used to have a mobile home from that era. It was built like a house. We live in a farmhouse now. We love watching your adventures. We are older than you (late 50"s). We want to see more of what you are going to do on the inside of you home. We think it is neat that you picked up and moved to Tennessee. It will be a great state to homestead in. We live in PA and sometimes wish the climate was better in the winter. We will keep watching you on your adventures. God bless you and your family on this chapter of your lives.

I’ve worked on so many mobile homes I could do it in my sleep. The main pet peeve I have with them is the floors. They always used cheap glued sawdust for plywood. And the slightest amount of moisture and it goes down hill. Enjoyed watching your last few videos. The moving company sure has nicer equipment than what we had back in the day. Keep up the good work

Bet you're happy to start this project. I found your channel when Sam was building his new workshop. This past weekend I watched your previous home reno. I had a thought for an easy change that would have a huge impact. The little area where the cabinet had been in the kitchen, I would knock the top half of the wall separating the kitchen for the laundry. Then put a counter that covers the washer/dryer to over the garbage can. Put a small wall under the counter beside the garbage the enclose it on 3 sides. The cabinet that you bought to hang there just put it on the back wall with maybe another one. This will allow all that sunshine to come into the kitchen from the door. It will also give you oodles of extra counter space. Just a thought. 🙂👍👍As usual great job.

We absolutely love carpet! But your right there is no way to keep it pristine! It absorbs stains and odors. The only compromise we have found is large area rugs that we have professionally cleaned annually. They are removed and literally scrubed and then dried. Something you can't do with installed wall to wall carpet as youll never get the padding underneath clean.

So excited to see the remodeling commence again. Just finished my master bedroom about 3 weeks ago. Y’all haven’t removed nasty carpet until it’s green 70’s shag carpet..lol 🤮 Sam, please tell Angela that the “square screws “ are called Robertson screws..

I love demo!! It's the redoing I'm terrible at, as in it never gets done! 😲. I know you all don't have that problem so can't wait to see the next video! 😊👍

Can I just say, you guys make it look so easy with fast forward. I however know first hand it's not. I've been doing the exact same thing all day and pulling millions of staples 😤. I hate staples!!!! Next I'll be tearing the ceilings down in both bathrooms 😫.

I guess we got lucky with the carpet.. not a single tack strip in the room! They attached it to the floor by stapling through the face of the carpet and to the floor! LOLOL We've got one section of the floor up and have yet again broken out the oscillating tool! Only this time have to use our cordless and it's so slow!! But at least it's doing the job. :)

@@GreenAcreHomestead that is the best tool I have ever purchased. It's too bad the blades are so expensive. You guys are doing a great job. We got 90% of our mobile rewired last week. Woo hoo to us both 👏 ❤️🙏❤️🙏

@@GreenAcreHomestead unfortunately we've only put up a few panels around new door when we installed. We had to put that on hold to work with the electricians schedule. We had a really hard time finding a good one that was available and willing to let us do alot of the grunt work. He's fantastic, was so easy to work with and explained everything to us as we went. Even let us purchase all supplies at wholesale price. Other than electric, we've been focused on making storage space in our camper and building a shed in anticipation of moving in 6 weeks. It's just never enough time to get everything we want to get done in the short time we're able to be there. Hopefully once we're they're permanently it will go much quicker. I can send you a picture of our door with new siding if you like. I chose a semi transparent light grey stain from rural king, but I'm regretting that now because I'm having a hard time getting enough to finish the job. I get two panels done out of one gallon, putting two coats and a little to seal around the back edge. What's the easiest way to find your email address?

Hi Sam and Angela, we enjoyed watching the demo work in your bedroom. You made it look easy ..I would still be there pulling down the first sheet of drywall. We had to get rid of the carpet in our house because it affected my breathing; you will be so much happier without it. Elijah has grown so tall, I couldn't believe my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing your family and your journey with us. Can't wait to see the next episode. Take care and God bless ❤️

It’s Monday, April 18 hopefully you see this comment before you cover your walls up. I’ve had some experience with remodel and mold issues and based on your video a lot of that insulation has black mold from what I can see. I would recommend replacing all of it checking for leaks by spraying the outside of the house with water. Caulk any gaps that might be letting air in moisture. Put new insulation in and then plastic over that. But based on the video it looks like there’s a lot of black mold and black mold it’s not some thing to mess with definitely wear good mask when removing and gloves and would recommend staples in plastic in the doorway to keep any thing from going through the house when you remove it
