I heard that having a reliable solar system along your utility pole causes the solar to produce way more electricity than the utility company in turn makes the utility company owe you money through checks in the mail.

I would rather put in an entire solar system that powers our entire mobile home because there is no such thing as a power outage with solar power. Not only that, no power bills to worry about!

Underground power is way less susceptible to power outages.

I should have installed underground electric a long time ago!

What kind of paint sticks best to the vinyl wallpaper?

I know you posted this a while back BUT I had to look and see how you did the front edge of porch roof if you look at 32:15 I am so glad you took the roof panels past the upper board I had the exact kind of porch roof put on my home and they made it so the roof panel is exact same length so when it rains the water doesnt go past the board but the rain recedes back and runs down the board front and back I need to find a way to divert the water past the board (if this makes any sense lol) other wise I feel the board will rot even though it is treated wood. Any suggestions people have said add a gutter but I think it wont run flesh against the board so there would still be space for drip, or maybe I could add on about a 5 inch roof panel extension at the end but not sure that would work ???

For first timers you did real good. Next time I suggest you try using a "Mitersaw" angle finder tool you will find a little better calculation for your angle oppose to dividing your angle in half. Good thing is you don't deal with that kind of wall so much. Again, good job. Caulking is ok..

We are remodeling a mobile home as well. It's a 1996. I'm not looking forward to doing the spare bath or the kitchen. What I was wondering on this project of yours. I understand you'd need to shim up to the tub area to make it "fit" for the drywall surround. However, I may have allowed for the area next to the tub (on the bathroom side) and instead of shimming the wall outside of the bathtub area. I think purposefully making an "inset" into the wall area to about 4 inches (kinda like you do for when installing a medicine cabinet INTO the wall) only finished out that area, and painted it or add wall paper inside that little nook and make it Look like you planned it that way.. You could have then turned that inset area into a place for your towel bar with shelving above and led lighting or to set some succulents. It would look like you Meant to have "offset" or "inset" on purpose. Hmmmm?? NO one would notice the wall was not straight.

The gas in the pipes leaking out is nitrogen, it is not freon They test the units for leaks by adding nitrogen gas at the factory. The freon is inside of the compressor only, and gets released into the pipes upon installation. They use nitrogen for testing because freon is harmful if released into the air.
