"Give Me Novacaine" is the reason why I'm still alive today. I discovered this song when I was at my lowest point ever. I won't go into details, but I was very suicidal. One night, while dealing with my suicidal urges, I just happened to be listening to this album, and "Novacaine" came on just as I was about to end my life. That song pulled me out of that mood instantly. I tell all my friends that Green Day saved my life with this song. That's why I have all the respect in the world for those men. And, "Novacaine" is still my go-to song when I feel depressed. Still works as well as it did since that first time.

I am a 65 yr.old, mother of three (now grown). When my youngest son was 13, I bought him the American Idiot cd for his birthday. But, I liked it so much(and still do) that I had to buy him another copy because I kept his original one in the van to listen to. I grew up in the 60's and 70's, so I have heard and loved a lot of great music. America Idiot is my all time favorite!
