Uh......noob question here. I recently got interested in plants and flowers, I know this might sound dumb but Ive been feeding my house plants orange juice, for two reasons A) its a natural and B) its a good source of vitamin C. Yes, Im not stupid I know most people dont do this, but is there anything wrong with giving your plant extra vitamin c? Should I sometimes go back to just pure water?
@greenerykelowna8 жыл бұрын
+Quick Jack Hello! Nothing "noob" about this question-it's a good one! Water might just be the safest liquid to use as certain plants may not take well to the extra of the orange juice and might even damage the plant. You could also be encouraging mold/bacteria or insects that are drawn to the sweet smell of the juice. Unless you're thinking of consuming the plant, they probably don't need the extra dose of Vitamin C. You can learn more about the science of this here: www.madsci.org/posts/archives/2006-01/1137967322.Bt.r.html Thank you for your question and happy gardening! -Christina
