Magical, signature interpretation of one The Ventures’ oldest and slowest times, particularly on chords, sliding, bending, and other terrific 🎸 techniques. Listening to this song with my eyes closed took me to a wonderful, dreamy world! Thank you for sharing your skillful guitar playing online with others!

Oh my gosh, Bob Bogel is here! I listened to this on the radio many, many times as a kid. Bought the Ventures album and that fired off a life of guitar. Have 88+, last count of their albums. Tom, perfect! Thanks (again)....!!

You wouldn't be the John Welch that I jammed with in Portland ,Maine in the late 60"s would you ??

@@steve60. No. Dang, I missed that opportunity.... would have been fun! I'm from Central Indiana. Moved to Arizona in the early 80's. Nice to hear of another John Welch exists.

When I listened to the "Colorful Ventures" album in 1961, I always skip this tune as it is kind of slow and boring. Now when you played it I keep re-playing - strange! You must have a magic hand. Thanks for the backing !!

Great job Tom - at the risk of being cheeky do you have a tab for the song Spanish Moon by Ron Storey and the Travelers (early sixties surf)? The track "Tomorrow's Love" by The Ventures on their "Knock Me Out" album is very similar but not quite as haunting IMHO

Hi Tom! First time commenting on any of your videos but just to make things simple and short. Your playing skills are just unbelievably good! Thank you sooo much for doing what you do keeping this music alive and not only sharing it with us but taking us to school on how to play it! I’ve learned sooo many songs and playing skills because of you! Surf Rock runs through my veins and I can’t get enough of it! I just really would like to ask if you can help me understand if on greenfields should I use echo/delay and what type or do you also mix in with reverb? As well on songs Because I Love You and And I Love Her ? I just here the notes sometimes ring out for a moment and just don’t know if it’s a reverb or some type of delay setting? Thanks again! And if it’s not to much trouble some advise/ technique on how to pluck and get those artificial harmonics????
