Yep, I bought a used Jazzmaster in 1963 for $230.complete with tweed case and belt buckle scratches on the back....had to be one of the early ones I would think...I wish I still had that guitar...I bought it because at the time, thats what the Ventures were using.. Your playing is outstanding !

Great job...I learned this in HS in the 60s from the Ventures album, but as usual I got a few things wrong...so now I will re-learn it using your video....thanks so much...you do these tunes spot on ! Keep up the great work...thanks so much ! I still love playing the Ventures music 57 years later !

Thanks! Tom. I have been waiting for this video tutorial for a long long time. I tried to figure out this song 50 years ago when I was in college in Taiwan. The Ventures was so hot back then. But no one i knew could show me how to play it. I finally figured our most of it. You video will help me to learn the hard part which I have been struggling. Can't wait to pick up my Fener JM (US custom shop in black) to relearn this song. Thanks again, 谢谢!

Well Night Train is an older song from the 50s and The Ventures covered it in 1960.

Thanks, I’ll check to put!
@weinerschnitzelrock13 жыл бұрын
Me too. "Lolita Ya-Ya":It was played a lot in Mexico. Love it . I can play about 90 % of it. There is a rumor that it may not have been played by Ventures but by a session player. I could be wrong. Often while the Ventures were on tour session players like Billy Strange completed a few songs on their albums so that they could crank out albums. I could be wrong.Just saying. I'll try to post it as my first cover.
