I've often felt the producers of All-Stars 5 sorta shot themselves in the foot when they thought it'd be a good idea to have Derrick Barry of all people be the first out. Not only does she make terrific TV with her confessionals and character, but they had a storyline drop right in their laps with the whole India Ferrah thing. That could've been one of the big storylines of the season, yet they threw it out the window by somehow choosing to have Derrick be sniped out first.

I think the show explained the situation best: India asked Alexis about who she voted for AFTER she had voted for Shea. While Mayhem and Alexis voted for Shea, it was never a conspiracy between them, it was just India asking how her fellow queens voted AFTER they cast their votes. India turning it into a “movement against Shea” was wholly inaccurate. She can see it as a movement, but it wasn’t. It was an exit poll. But the episode had the most contentious voting, as it is the only episode with 3 queens who received votes. India exploited it, and all she really did was hurt Alexis’ chance to reach the Final 4, as opposed to saving herself from elimination.

I kinda get why India felt the way she did. Pageant queens used to be under a lot of pressure. To be respected in the pageant circle they had to follow rules, looked a certain way. I can imagine how frustrating it could be for her seeing other queens not following the same rules and having a lot of success. That being said I think she’s wrong for not celebrating that all forms of drag are valid. She also needs to stop victimizing herself. I know you said don't crucify no one involved but, India Farrah is literally one of those girls who can dish but the moment you dish back she is under attack every time people called her out, she went on the defensive, she never once took a second to see why her word choice on the Juneteenth post was problematic. instead, she doubled down and said everyone was bullying her, when in reality she was being insensitive. On top of that she went after derrick berry when BOB made fun of the quote Alexis made. and India's husband I'm happy he stands by her but at some point, you got to see that your spouse is wrong sometimes and tell them that their wrong. there's nothing wrong with telling a loved one when they're wrong but doubling down with them on bullying accusations. where there is no actual justification isn't helpful to the damn conversation. it makes me wish derrick stayed way longer so we could have had more possible drama with her and india. not only is india a liar but we find out later in the season that she was caught shop lifting before, again more drama they could have had. i have a love hate relation with derrick, a lot of the time i just think shes annoying and mean but other times i think shes hilarious because of how quick and mean she is. def wouldn't wanna get on her bad side lol. while we all hate liars and mean people, i think we all agree those people make for the best TV. when everyone is kind to each other, its just so boring.
