As we are Americans, we first enjoyed your performances in Inspector George Gently. I told my husband of 53 years that I thought you were so sexy. We thoroughly enjoy British television and movies. You are on the top of my list! Thank you for the entertainment you bring into our home. Marsha, Paradise, Texas USA

Thank you very much for your comment! Martin Shaw chose not just this concerto, but also this exact interpretation when he presented his favourite music on Desert Island Discs - and yes, I too think it's outstanding.

As I watch the time go by from the beginning of MS's career until today I see a truly fascinating man giving life to so many different characters. He's no one for the drawer where so many others live a contented life never showing any variation of talent. Thanks for this intriguing collection and, of course, Happy Birthday, Martin Shaw - you are simply the best.

Yes, it took quite a lot of time, but I enjoyed every second! If he really happens to watch it, maybe he'll see it not just as a tribute but also as an evidence of the dedication of the fan community - I was able to use very rare footage because many people loved him and cherished his work for so many years.

@Yorkmum Sorry, it took me a while to get to reply, was on holiday in UK. *happy grin* All of the archive clips you see here are given to me by Martin Shaw fans who collected and kept them for years. The same applies to the old interviews. They trusted me to digitalize them and post them here to be seen by everyone who is interested in MS. So I in turn I take my hat off to them for their kindness and generosity!

Aw, you're making me blush... Anyone would be able to do the same if they had the films, the time and the patience (it takes some mental exersice to stay calm restarting Windows Movie Maker 150 times in 2 days, full Yogic breathing helps too:).
