Became acquainted with this phenomenal actor via his portrayal of Cecil B. Rhodes! While in Zimbabwe, during my first opportunity out of professional veterinary school, I took a clinical residency at University of Zimbabwe! Hiked up to Rhodes’ final place. Shaw’s genius came to me as a genuine and authentic presentation of Rhodes, as an extremely complicated human , yet highly chronicled world renowned figure of his time! Wow! Very impressive! Congrats to Mr. Shaw! Well deserved!🌹🙏🏾

When I think of Martin Shaw I see him in CI5 The Professionals as Ray Doyle, I loved watching that. Martin and Lewis Collins were real heartthrobs. The Professionals are being shown on channel 24 midweek at 16:50 and I still love watching the crime fighting pair. Sadly Bodie - Lewis Collins is no longer with us.

@@greenheartVids Martin Shaw should have an life time achievement award too besides being a SIR with an MBE or OBE attached to his name surely these awards are awarded to slowly why wait till they are in their seventies to gain them yet Sports stars get them in their youth or slightly later on for gaining a gold medal etc, but why stop there what about F1 ace Lewis Hamilton now a five times World champion. Time these gongs and titles are awarded in a better time scale too.
