i've heard some people say this boss is named ''big scorper'' except.. big scorper is the name of those red sorta crab-looking things in pecan sands so.. that's not right

Since the same boss appears in a later level, it's my headcanon that he must've gotten demoted after Wario kicked his ass in Greenhorn Ruins.

Such epic music for a boss i can step on. Look im gonna go on a rant here, i hate this boss, at least greenfist i died to him like twice in my whole life, and i played this game so much as a kid, i still play it, i call this boss the sand worm, because thats all he is to me, a sand worm, and whenever i beat him i feel nothing. I like greenfist for my own reasons as i hate this one dor others... I just got bored whenever this fight happened, and i love the level its from., this feels like a crime.
