If Grace told Mae years ago about Mac and Faith and if its true what Mae claims her father did to her, then why didn't she tell Grace or James or Mavis about her father or about what Grace said about Mac. The news about Mac and Faith would've been the gasoline to light a fire up under Mae - but maybe she was more concerned with keeping up the appearance of a healthy family and successful church to want to rock the boat. Good acting, if this subject matter means anything to Oprah in real life, you can see it in this scene.

“Looking the other way” while children are getting abused is unconscionable but unfortunately, this is the reality that many helpless children find themselves in. It must be such a lonely and frightful place.

Unfortunately, a lot of families function like this. It is a form of generational curses/sin. People were conditioned to pass this down from generation to generation. But God is raising people up in the family to speak up against these demonic spirits and attacks. God is raising people up who are not afraid to speak the truth. If you are that person. Then perhaps it is you who HE chose to come against it. You need to choose to be brave and raise up. God will give you the strength you need and the ability you need to equip the task. It must cease right here and right now IN JESUS' NAME. AMEN. THE BUCK STOPS HERE. PROCLAIM IT BY FAITH IN JESUS' NAME AND CHOOSE TO STAND TO BE WHO GOD CALLED, CREATED, PURPOSED, CHOSE, AND POSITIONED YOU TO BE IN JESUS' NAME. DON'T LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING STOP YOU OR TALK YOU OUT OF IT. DON'T LET ANYONE STOP YOU IN JESUS' NAME. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH. YOU ALREADY HAVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED IN JESUS' NAME. USE WHAT IS IN YOUR HANDS. IT IS NOT BY RANDOM, CHANCE, MISTAKE, OR COINCIDENCE THAT YOU CAME ACROSS THIS VIDEO AND NOW THIS COMMENT/MESSAGE. PLEASE CHOOSE TO TAKE EVERYTHING TO GOD IN PRAYER FOR CLARITY AND FOR CONFIRMATION IN JESUS' NAME. AMEN. GOD TRULY DOES LOVE AND CARE FOR YOU AND SO DO I. YOU ARE NOT AND NEVER WAS A BURDEN, COINCIDENCE, RANDOM, OR A MISTAKE. YOU WERE PREORDAINED AND PREDESTINED HERE BY GOD. FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS IN JESUS' NAME. DON'T LISTEN TO THE LIES FROM SATAN. DON'T LISTEN TO THE LIES FROM THE ENEMY ANYMORE IN JESUS' NAME. AMEN.

It's not just black people. It is toxic and dysfunctional people. All types of people from all walks of lives have this same story. Either way someone has to choose to come against it in the name of the Lord and reject it. In order for the generational curse/sin to be broken.

Brilliant and incredibly acted scene. Oprah’s second calling is definitely acting. Lynn looks so much like Diahann Carol. Lynn has always been unsung imo, she gets her props, but should’ve been more on the level of Viola Davis and Angela Bassett. She could’ve definitely been among the the top three. Although she plays the role of the gorgeous, affluent, conflicted, and bourgeois black woman with secrets well, she is typecast too often in that role.

@@PMChannel. Lynn is on their level NOT above. The body of work & movie projects they've been in makes the difference. Look at all Angela and Viola have been in and done. Especially Angela Bassett who still isn't getting "all" that she deserves.
