the Markets look like 2015-16. Probably going back to all time highs, but will probably go sideways until fed signals rate cut, Recently sold 25% of my portfolio comprising of plummeting stocks that were recommended by certain financial KZbinrs, quite devastating!
@tammystutАй бұрын
not their fault, the stock market seems to be more of a casino for gamblers now than a place for investors. even if you were averaging down on ailing companies, its your duty to properly research, buying the dip does not guarantee a rebound

Such uncertainty is the reason I don't base my conviction on rumors or a ''hearsay'' I have my day-to-day investing decisions being guided by an invt-advisor, seeing that their skillset is built around long and short term, both employing profit-oriented strategies and providing hedge against inevitable downtrends, coupled with exclusive analysis, it's near-impossible to not outperform. I've realized over $600k from $235k capital, since late 2019 just before the pandemic to date.

Buying a passive index fund of S&P500 last year had a return of 24%, vs 22% net of fee. This is why most people choose passive investing vs Einhorn investment funds.

Einhorn made some good points. Big money bought more heavy weights to bring up Index even though these heavy weights are way over-valued.

If there is a chronically undervalued company all the company has to do is buy back large blocks of shares cheap. Then the indexes will start picking them up more. Then they will be fully valued. Might not happen over night but over the course of a few years that would pay off big time. On the issue of IPOs I think the main reason for that is private equity. They get their money from investors but don't have to deal with the SEC with quarterly & annual reports stock sales etc. It is easier to stay private now.

He lacks the imagination to see the capabilities of large companies. For example, what “undervalued” company is going to rival the CapEx spending to rival the stack that CRWD or PANW provides? No small company can even come close to the amount of CapEx needed to develop their products. All and all, just sounds like another fund manager that has chronically underperformed the market. Fancy underperformance.

No no. The markets are not broken, they are stable. We don't have time to look at the market at all times. We have other real work to do. So will do index and the index will hold better and market downturns will be less and more safety for individual investors. Otherwise, these guys will push the prices up and down and the markets wont be stable and only they will make money and individual mom and pop 401K people will lose. Passive investing will keep the markets afloat and won't allow big drops, which most of us need.
