The world is a better place for the existence of race events like this & competitors like this. Utterly mad but compelling. I can imagine the place a road race with the history this has being other worldly. If there’s a time in the future when the NW200 is no longer run, the existence of these recordings are going to be required. Because if you just described it, nobody would believe you. 200 mph on a damp road, just past the sweet shop on the seafront……

I’m a fan, too! I really warm to all the racers, as I’ve watched TT for many years. Not paid attention to the other road races until late in life. Omg. Hats off to these fellas.

These guys have titanium testicles. I’ve been an enthusiastic but not very good rider for a continuous 45y. I can see the skill & courage of these warriors. Very enjoyable. What the hell does a guy do for thrills after doing this for a living for a few years? There will be some who’ve made a proper career of it, like McGuinness. He’s 50+. But top talents like Hillier, Hutchy, Todd, Harrison……do they make enough money to be able to retire when they decide to? I think Dean is a full time craftsman at something, yet a complete professional as a racer. Davey is such a young talent. Pleased for James Hillier!
