I found a conductors watch in a ghost town in Arizona. I suspect it was dropped into an outhouse hole. It was complete, with glass, and included both front and back. The back had an etched scene of a building, glass was beveled and the face was covered with a paper with the numbers. Inside all of the gears were rusted as was the spring, however, the remainder of the internals were gold plated. The same hole had an old...1820s pad lock that had been beaten with a bullpen hammer. That pit gave up coins, jewelery, faceted gem stones, the best bottles I ever found...I just randomly found this spot as I've never had a metal detector. Love your vlogs. I tell people that if you enjoyed Easter egg hunting, you'll love this hobby.

You should dig old outhouse pits. Watch some videos from Below the Plains. Tom Askjem digs outhouse pits and finds phenomenal old embossed bottles and other artifacts. People used to throw those things into the outhouse pit. When the pit filled too much, they dig another pit nearby and pulled the outhouse over it. Over time, the bacteria and nasties from the “use layer” break down, and it’s safe to dig. I was going to suggest that you and Tom do a collaboration because you both dig for historic artifacts and you have a similar vibe. You both have a passion for history.

The unidentified piece with the wire and base. I think may have been a shaving mirror mount. The round being filled with lead and the wire pinching an adjustable mirror. Fun treasures today, another great adventure. Thanks Brad.

I think its a toilet paper holder. Round part would have screwed to the wall and and the 2 ends would have went in each end of the paper roll.

Everything seemed so elegant and special back then. Everything seems original, like no one item was the same as the others. Today everything we make is just copy pasted exactly the same. The way they spent so much time and energy making these items is just incredible.

8:30 I remember my grand mother telling me that in the UK around the 1920's ladies of rhe night would have something like this on their heals, the hollowed area would be painted bright red, or they'd put a price on the sole of the shoe in chalk. When sitting down, they would undo the ankle strap of the shoe so it would hang on the toes and drop down, making it visible. Eye contact would be made and they would leave the establishment separately and meet up outside. Not all our great grandma's were into apple pie and duvet sewing ya know 😂

Check the lighter and see if there is a hole in the side next to the second clicker. They used to make lighter that sent one flame up for cigarettes and the other flame came out the side to light pipes.

The "heart heel plate" was the original "Tramp Stamp".❤ Supposedly, they were worn on the left shoe only, and were used to leave a trail in the soil/dirt road for gentlemen to follow back to the Saloon or Brothel. 👨‍🌾💃

Hey Brad what an array of Relics and Coins you found Congrats. I remember the last Heart Heel Plate you found I love it. The Bycicle Spot Light Relic is very cool. Never knew they made a lamp for a bike before. Congrats on the Copper, Wheaties, and Good Luck Token. It's always nice to finda Stray Marble when your out detecting. Very Beautiful. One day soon I hope you find a complete Pocket Watch. I've found one with the glass still on it and two with the face plate with numbers on them. The sad part is I've not ever found one complete with the face cover still attached. I did find a WW1 Compass complete with the face piece still attached. Take Care Brad

Those heel pnayes were worn by soldiers during the civil war. Each symbol represents the insignia of the Army Corp their regiment belonged to. The Heart represented the 24th Corp, the Diamond 25th, Triangle 4th,etc. . They also wore them made from cloth on their clothing, in Red, Blue or White, each color representing a different fividion of the Corp. But the heel plate had to be purchased by the soldier out of his own pay, so they arent as prevalent. The cloth versions wete made out of a piece of spare cloth from clothing they already had.

Great video as always. I picked up a XP ORX detector last year. Problem I'm having is knowing how deep things are. My bro has a cheaper unit and it tells him how deep something is. So does a louder, sharper tone indicate it's shallow? IlIke when you tell us the number you're getting. I would think the ORX would indicate a number like you get from coins. I've been finding many coins but not very old ones. Thanks for sharing.
