Not long ago I watched some videos from a man who has made bannerstones. On KZbin he goes by "MrMegalithics". There are probably others out there making them besides him. Maybe some day I'll give it a try. Thanks for watching!

@@VirginiaFlintknapper : I may do a little recording. It takes a lot of thought. I’m trying to put a case together that was mainly found at the same spot. This morning I found the heartbreaker of all time there. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Back in the early 1970's a friend and I use to dig up Clovis points out in Summerfield. A few points we had were as big as a foot in length. 12,000 years ago these people were hunting giant Sloths and Mastadons in Guilford County.

@@Dougarrowhead Yes, out by Reggie Thigpen's farm. The points were shown at Saint Pius X school for several weeks in the auditorium and later a few students showed interest from Guilford college.

.Wow friend. I wish there were events like this here. Here the government wants to take things away from you instead of promoting and supporting. I enjoyed seeing the exhibition.

Yes, we are blessed to have these events in our area. I always enjoy seeing what other people find. Thanks for watching!

It should be noted that this show started early in the morning and ran until the early part of the afternoon, around 2 pm. By the time I arrived, around noon, most of the crowd had filtered out and the show was almost over. This certainly made it easier to get good photos but it also made it look like there was a low turnout which was actually not the case. I thought I should clarify this point since some people have commented that it looked like a low attendance show. Thanks again to all who have watched and commented. I appreciate your feedback!

Howdy from Louisiana being a knapper do you ever see moderns slid into collection's

Hello from Virginia. Sorry for the late reply but I just realized you had a comment a couple of days ago. The answer is yes. I have observed, on more than one occasion, modern replica points added to frames of original arrowheads. On one occasion a man admitted he had made all of the points in two of his frames. You should also be very careful if you purchase points on sites such as Ebay because I have witnessed many recently made points that were advertised as ancient artifacts for sale. Some of those points even had one or more "COA's" (certificates of authenticity) and a few of these fakes are sold for big money on a regular basis. Thanks for the comment!

Some of the more popular KZbin Arrowhead guys have plenty of fakes and planted points. It turns into an ego thing for some after a while. Similar to people that hunt in deer pens.
