Every time I try to create CG shots like these the only thing that irritates me is that the shadow of my subject doesn't look right and it ruins the illusion. I've searched the whole of youtube but still I can't find the solution to this problem. And your vfx is also great but it is still missing the part which I just mentioned. You can spot it when you look at the shoes of the subject.

It's a common problem and there is not a one solution That's why I cover up the feet when I can to not see the direct shadows. If the feet are not moving you can add shadow thrower object. 2 cylinders where the feet are. To give the shadows a little volume. But yeah. Nothing is optimal and it can't be perfect since we're working with a 2D Image in a 3D scene

Hum... you put some rocks to hide the feet but at the result we can see you in levitation (at 21:57 to 22:00), the tutorial is good but I'm disappointed by the final render. I prefer the video with the girl, the feet are in contact with the floor.

When you actually have real camera movement it definitely leads to better results 👍🏻

@@PhilFlock It's difficult to have a good résultat but It's possible with tracking, Ian Hubert is expert with this technic I have seen your tuto because I think it's a solution for my project, I can't want use reals actors but animations from Iclone, I think it's less difficult to animate in Iclone and include 2D movies in Blender than import 3D characters from Iclone in Blender.

@@stephanenicault4939 hard to say. It's different for every shot. What exactly are you trying to do.

@@PhilFlock ten characters in a club with chairs and tables, finaly I use 3D modèles with mixamo movements for global view, I hope to rendering not to slow. For near view of characters I will use Iclone.
