I guess they really like Frank Zappa. Speaking of which, Frank's Moving To Montana is a peach ✨️🎶✨️

Not sure they were Zappa influenced. They played with Colosseum and the drummer with King Crimson. I interviewed Dave Lawson, he played with lots of musicians (Jon Anderson, Jimmy Page…) but didn't talk about Zappa.

Ok, I've never listened to this band. All I knew was they had great Roger Dean artwork and they were prog. This is definately Frank Zappa inspired. Frank is the Master of this type of proggy jazz type music. The gateway album to Frank's world, imo, is Overnight Sensation. Someone suggested Montana, from that album. But I would suggest "I am the Slime". It's not to long, it rocks, and the lyric are so relevant to today's world. It's a must! US Roadie 1 signing out. It's the end of the week, the gummies are calling...

Love Greenslade. Massively under-rated band.

I agree, I can't believe I'd never heard of them before this!

Wow, another of my suggestions. I really love this band. Dave Lawson is an incredible singer and composer. And a nice fellow on top of all his talent. I interviewed him for the magazine Acid Dragon. Yes Steve, this band was keyboard driven with two keyboardists and only a guest guitarist.

There's basically two songs I like by him and that's the odd instrumental Birds & Bats & Dragonflies and the more known song Bedside Manners Are Extra. I can't say I'm too familiar with Greenslade. As for this song I think it is interesting. Getting a lot of Frank Zappa vibes. I have no problem listening to this song. But it does not make me run buy the album either. Oddly enough I got several Frank Zappa albums but none Greenslade or related albums. And I'm not really a fan of either. I guess my appreaciating for Frank Zappa is more about his personality and talent. Bobby Brown Goes Down was a hit single in my country when I grew up. I find his jazz albums the most interesting. Frank Zappa has just always been there. Greenslade is a bit more obscured for me. I've never really gotten into the music much even though I've tried. I can't say I've heard this song Little Red Fry Up before. I think it's cool and ok. I can easily see how this can be a favorite too for a lot of people. Somehow it is easier to notice these kind of songs because of people reacting to them online. It has actually happened several times for me that I've found new favorites thanks to people reacting to songs. And it also puts the songs in a new perspective to see people reacting to songs. I guess the main reason I've known about Greenslade for many decades without really knowing too much either is because of their album covers.
