I loved watching this show as a kid. I actually learned what a robe was from this episode.

Also do you remember how long it took before you & your Sister got chosen to go on the Show?
@jergarmar7 ай бұрын
@@markheying2830 That's a great question. I believe that we answered an ad in an LA newspaper, then within a month or so we got called in for an "interview" where they did a trial run of an episode. If I remember correctly, we did a total of 3 of these "interviews" before we got the call that we had been accepted. Probably we did the taping within a couple months of that? This was a Christmas episode but we taped it like 6 months earlier... in the middle of summer! 😆

IS THERE ANYONE WAY THAT THE SIBLINGS COULD CONSPIRE TO “CHEAT” BEFORE THE SHOW??? 🤔
@benbelzer830316 күн бұрын
Yes, at least for the final run they could decide to only pick musical instruments, kitchen appliances, etc. that way they'd have a heads up. Otherwise, I don't think so. If I had played this game with my sister as kids she'd probably get mad at me for blabbing things. 😊

They’ll do a reboot of I’m Telling!/That’s my dog., Or, America’s Funniest People (America’s Funniest Home Videos spin-off show), because everything old is new again. They’ll reboot these 2 shows (I’m Telling!/That’s my dog), or America’s Funniest People?

Every Saturday morning on nbc if my memory serves me right.
@tnawcwvictoria6 жыл бұрын
Mynce Sackcloth You are correct, this aired on NBC Saturday Mornings during the 87/88 Season and this was back when NBC was still HOT! NBC Saturday Nights still had The Facts of Life in it's 9th and Final Season, 227, Amen, The Queens of Saturday Nights in The Golden Girls and of course, My Favorite TV Cop HUNTER with Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer Plus, The Cosby Show, A Different World and Cheers were the 1-2-3 Punch of Must See TV also, when I'm Telling! aired on NBC, Snorks and Punky Brewster entered syndication after a 1 year absence and Dick Clark's American Bandstand also entered syndication after 30 years on abc Plus, SuperStation WTBS became known as SuperStation TBS and every Saturday Night after the news, I would end the night with America's Top 10 with the late great Casey Kasem and Night Tracks on SuperStation TBS

The main game was a blatant rip-off of the Newlywed Game, but the tiebreaker was stolen from Price Is Right (the "without going over" concept).
@tnawcwvictoria4 жыл бұрын
During the 87/88 Season, they had a couple of parodies of The Newlywed Game on the air I'm Telling! on NBC Saturday Morning and Wink Martindale's 2nd Honeymoon with Wayne Cox for Pat Robertson's CBN (now freeform)

TNG used the same tiebreaker as well, but tied it in to guessing the final score, not guessing how much of a random something was there.
