Trains used to come here from the big city, regretfully stopped a long time ago but what fun it must have been to come here and enjoy the lake and surrounding mountains. Still a great place.

Lol, yeah, that's an understatement. Residents are knows as "Swampers" by the nearby town of Warwick. But to be fair, Warwick is an evil smug town that hides behind an innocent image. The drug problem used to be insane, and a creepy man in a pompadour walks around weirding everybody out. "The Owls are not what they seem." @@samanthab1923

Is it true the lake used to freeze enough to drive trucks on the ice?

Yes. Would freeze solid and people would take their vehicles, quads etc on the ice.@@samanthab1923
