Someday maturity will set in and you will understand the naivete of your response. It is not the outward symbol that is important but the interior fire. They have adapted their original garb beautifully. Be somewhat thankful for at least that much...or better yet...find a way to meet them or their male counterparts. Then being to make a clearer decision regarding your comment. Its all a journey of self awareness.

It's not what's on the outside of a person that makes a Christian, but its receiving Christ Jesus death and resurrection as the only hope and sorce of salvation. Thus.. being born Again into a new child of God unto eternal life , it's not by works , looks, or being good enough that gets you to Heaven. That's what matters not the habit.

As an older semi-retired priest who still dons the cassock, and offers the EF (Traditional Latin Mass) quite conservative in my outlook, I feel I have to respond. The habits you speak of were for the most part derived from the dress of the time when the order was founded, or the habit of the Foundress who may have started a new order to meet the needs of the Church not met by the order she came from. (an example would be a sister who noted a need for nursing and medical care, and founded a new order, her old order being devoted to schools and education). The Sisters of Social Service, founded in 1936, long before Vatican II and the modified habits you seem to find ridiculous, wore a habit that looked like the typical business suit worn by the women of the 1930s including a pillbox hat. They were fully Catholic and followed a completely "Traditional" religious formation and life. I learned when a Seminarian before Vatican II the age old saying. The man makes the Habit, not the Habit the man. When I was in Mexico I had to follow the custom of wearing a Suit and Tie in public, as the Anti-Religion laws there did not permit the wearing of my cassock outside of the Church or rectory. It did not make me less a priest. As an aside, as Traditional as I am, I've always wanted to have a Hawaiian print Cassock...
