I knew Greg personally when he wrote this song he gave my dad the master tape in Greg's motor home through B.J. & The Bear he's a very, very nice soft spoken man he was 24 when he wrote this and recorded it he's super guy. e's a super guy!! 😘🤗💙💕

I remember using a tape recorder next to the tv in like 81 & taped this song from Bj & the Bear. Had that cassette for about 3 yrs before a cassette player finally ate it up beyond repair (you old timers know what I'm talking about). In 35 yrs I haven't heard this but I find myself singing the chorus every now & then. The last few times it came to me, I would try to find it on KZbin but to no avail. Until an hour ago lol. So thank you very much for posting.

Greg performed this on the Pink Lady tv show (which ran 5 weeks only, from March 1, 1980 to April 4, 1980, 5 episodes with a 6th episode unaried). Greg continued to promote this single all the way into December when he appeared on the Osmond Family 1980 Christmas Special. Greg deserved a shot but he faced a lot of competition around that time- there was Andy Gibb, Donny Osmond, Jeff Conaway, Leif Garrett, Rex Smith, Rick Springfield, Shaun Cassidy, etc., all releasing singles and albums and fighting for their right to be the top teen dream boy (not exactly their goal, but the music industry's). Greg Evigan is not gay, but when you look back at the title of the 3 tv shows he had, the names are pretty risque. Those names wouldn't be used today- 1977 Greg & Paul (Paul Shaffer , pre-SNL, pre-David Letterman Show), 1979 BJ & The Bear, and 1987 My Two Dads. All three actually had the theme songs sung by Greg himself. In any case, Greg is just one of many talented singers who got passed over during the era of Teen Idols.

Thanks for posting. I heard this song just once on a TV show (don't remember which) a long long time ago and somehow it catched me. Not such a big hit but it has that 80s mood that takes you there in an instant. Wonderful piece of music
