Superb to have a transcription, great work as usual! Love listening to Greg Howe, amongst dozens of others, whilst working to keep myself motivated and absorb the melodies/riffs -- One day with more effort, I hope to be able to play even half as good as this ':D I saw Greg Howe live with Mohini Dey and Marco Cirigliano recently, a real dream come true tour to catch and super kind to their fans!

Deym!, I always believe Guthrie Govan is the best "rock fusion" player out there. ( yeah still better than Mancuso😉). BUT this video alone just changed my mind. Greg Howe is on par or even better in terms of groove creation and the out of nowhere taps and octave tapping is just insane.😮🤦Cheers!🤘

Even though TQ said his biggest influence is Greg, they still has a really big difference in legato playing. Greg is more like “I play all the notes that I want in a bar no matter what the actual subdivision is” and that may be the reason why he has many quintuplets and septuplets and 16th triplets alternating in this unruly way😂However Tom Quayle is more like I want the subdivision to be more stable and organized and imma going to fill the equal subdivisions with notes that I chose and hence resulting have making rigid 16th triplets and 16/32th legato lines and that’s what makes Tom’s legato so unique because many other guitarists thinks like Greg does. When I took my lesson with Josh Meader back in last year, he also said that he only think about which note he starts from and want to ends on and fill in the gap with any number of notes he want😼

And that’s why TQ’s lines are often hard to nail since you really need a good sense of pulse to feel the groups of notes whether it’s groups of 3 or 4 to actually sounds like him and not accenting unwanted string changes😂😂😢😅

Brilliant 👌. I’d recorded parts of his recent gig and was wondering which tune, solo to figure out. That’s now on hold while I work on this 🤭🤘. Many thanks Levi.
