Hey Greg...I was one of those hippies.. :) I remember you with the blond long hair and board shorts.! I see him in you so much. I know he is home, but I am still here. He was a second Dad to me. I remember sitting at his feet listening and learning. I remember him yelling at me to get out of the trees at the little chapel. He was there for me from 12 yrs old and now I am 62. Still very happily married to John for 46yrs. I am happy for him, but I cannot help still grieving for him. The church is so different now. so it the whole world. I miss the Steak Fry's and giving him sunscreen for his head. When I got gravley ill and went to heaven and Jesus sent me back. I called to talk to him and he lovingly talked to me for over an hour. He asked me a ton of questions. I asked him why I was sent back? His response was pure Chuck..." Only God knows that Bettie. His is in control of your life, and look at it this way, you're the lucky one. You got a glimps of Heaven. The rest of us just have to wait". Well, I can't help grieve for him, but he is the Lucky one. He no longer waits to see...I am the one here still waiting. I hope he will be there to meet me when I finaly get there again. Thank you for this message. Love you and hope you are well.

Thank you Greg. I never met Pastor Chuck, but he taught me so much, especially as a new Christian. I listened to his radio programs and I learned the Word. I also tried to emulate Pastor Chuck’s kindness and his sweet spirit. Now I teach weekly and preach monthly. God has gifted me with a spirit of encouragement and I hope that I encourage others, the way Pastor Chuck encouraged me.

Pastor Chuck was an annointed speaker, he allowed himself to be filled with the Holy Spirit and His agape love. When he taught the Word of God it came alive in me. He was used by God mightily because he was obedient to the Word of God. I miss him, his guidance during this time of covid-19 sure would have been great.😥❤🙏💐

A wonderful tribute. God used Chuck Smith in amazing ways. There are Bible-believing churches all over the world because of this man. He was not highly educated or super intelligent. God can use anyone who is open to Him.

Check Smith and Greg Laurie during the Jesus Revolution in the 70s taught the heresy of once saved always saved and the rapture at any moment! What is so disingenuous is in the movie they don’t tell you about the many that rejected Christ and went back to drugs!

Chuck Smith was an apostate, who taught that Jesus was LYING when He said, 'Unless you REPENT, you will all likewise perish." No, said Chuck Smith, THAT'S not TRUE! You'll just lose rewards, salvation is a FREE gift, not based on your performance. Go ahead and sin all you want; Jesus paid it all. That's not even what JESUS HIMSELF (nor the DISCIPLES!) taught! In Mt. 4:17, "Jesus went everywhere and told people to repent." Chuck Smith? "No, that's WORKS SALVATION." Shocking.

I have heard Chuck's sermons many, many times. Not once did I ever hear him suggest that it was OK to sin. Forgiveness for sin yes, but never permission to sin.

You are mistaken Mr. No Turning Back. Chuck Smith taught the Holy Bible. If you think that is wrong, then you are misinformed. The Bible says that one repents and turns from sin. When one is baptized in the Holy Spirit, one wants to please God. Sin is as abhorrent to us as it is to God. That said, we all are sinners and fall short of the Glory of God. God forgives us by His Grace because God loves us and created us in His image. Glory be to God Almighty. Creator of Heaven and Earth.

And, you contradict yourself as Chuck didn't say something and then say that what he said was not true. The Truth is what he taught. Nothing more, nothing less.

I listen to Chuck's sermons everyday on my phone. Chuck NEVER taught what you are claiming. "In what measure you judge you will be judged" so...watch yourself. Go ahead and post a link to audio from the sermon that Chuck Smith said this..what book & verse was Chuck teaching from that he said this? I have access to 100% of Chuck Smith's teaching through the Bible on audio I'll look it up and research it myself if you post the info.
