My name is Jim Dunavant. I remember competing with Greg Louganis in 88 at the Boca Raton All-star invite. It was such a privilege. One of my best memories.

Greg often came to dive meets and practices for the dive team i was on in Florida. Stellar human and great athlete, always inspiring

My brother and I (me 13, him 9) got to swim with Greg in Fountain Valley a few hours before this footage was shot. A random encounter at the club where he practiced. We had no idea who he was, just some guy doing amazing dives. His manager told us, "That guy's going to be in the Olympics later today." "Sure he is," we said. The rest is history.
