Greg Norman won his second Open title playing the best golf of his career against one of the finest leaderboards ever seen - all but one of the final top-12 either were, or would become, a major champion. The Official Film documents The 122nd Open and a record-breaking week for Norman.

“I was in complete awe of myself”- Greg Norman. Great line Shark. Never one to sell himself short ! 🤣

For such a dominant player, Greg typically only won when everyone got out of his way. He had to be psychologically convinced that he would win

@@chevy4x466 Aside from majors he won a hell of a lot. Was number one in the world for a long long time. Did win two majors. The majors he lost were in many cases horrendous luck. He also torched some great opportunities but that’s just the nature of golf. He might not rank with Tiger and Jack but still a fantastic career. Shame that so many nobodies think they have cause to be so critical of a great player.

@@tiborsol7959 he was the number one ranked player for 5 years. Pretty amazing. He was physically amazing. Seemed like every time some tour veteran would have the week of their career, and Greg would stop hitting good shots on Sunday. It was weird.

I’m a huge fan but he put his foot in his mouth a few times. I remember decades ago he blocked his tee shot way to the right third round at Doral. He hit an incredible recovery over the trees and made par. He won but after that round when asked about that recovery shot he claimed “If there’s one thing I can do it’s hit the ball high. I can hit it over the moon if I wanted”……,,

Astonishing iron play from Sharky. The sound of those pure strikes was beautiful and most finished next to the pin. No wonder he was in awe of himself! The top players now are amazing but when I look at Norman and Faldo playing the same course as this year's Open to -13 and -11 with the old less powerful clubs, I think they were better.

To think the majority of them were still hitting persimmon woods!! A couple of years after this no one was hitting wooden woods any more!! I was a big Norman fan back then!!

All of those players were at the peak of their game. Norman was just more in the zone than they were and when the Shark was in the zone there was no stopping him

I recently learned that in 93, 94, 95, 96 final rounds at Augusta Norman shot 77, 77, 68, 78. Make of that what thou wilt.

I don't know why Corey Pavin isn't praised in the same breath as Faldo and Langer etc.; played excellently in the Ryder Cup and looking back had spells of pure class. Greetings from the UK

Pavin was a really solid player but he's clearly not in the same class of player as Faldo, Norman etc. Norman could've easily won 6 majors - heartbreakers in the '86 & '93 PGA Championship and '87 & '96 Masters.

What a great win to the great white, but how embarrassing to see the inept finger painting of Ken Done on world wide display on Greg's apparel. Sold gazillions worth I know, but Leonardo Da Vinci it isn't.
