@Michael Whitted back in like 99', my dad had a copy of Around the Fur. I would borrow his CDs all the time to find new stuff (he had a MASSIVE collection) and I stumbled on that one. I popped it in, threw on my headphones, instantly fell in love with the album, and I've been a fan ever since. I remember when White Pony came out and it lived in my walkman for MONTHS lol.

@leerobbo92
@leerobbo92 2 жыл бұрын
Nah I'm not having that. She's led vocals on what, a handful of tracks? That's a massive overreaction. Their heaviest stuff is what pushes the boundaries, and it generally doesn't have Reba singing on it. She's objectively a better singer, but the reason Code Orange are so successful is precisely because they have so many different textures and can span so many genres so effortlessly. The title track from Forever and Swallowing the Rabbit Whole are just as big a part of their success as stuff like Bleeding in the Blur and Underneath. Probably even more so considering their background and how interesting the music is in those examples. I get it, the whole Powerman ripoff with Jami front and center was absolute dogshit and I hope they never go anywhere near that again. But it doesn't invalidate what they've done before with him as the lead vocalist.

Greg, in my opinion is an absolute musical prodigy! Everything this guy writes is gold. And as he evolves you can see feel and hear the influences and inspiration he's incorporating along the way. It blew my mind to see him go from Dillinger to Jerry Cantrell who is a total musical gift and icon in his own rite. Now to see him collaborate with a key player in innovative modern metal.. Reba Meyers of code orange (another favorite) just shows me more of the genius musical chameleon Greg is. Love the track. It's beautiful, dark, catchy. Already know I am going to have this chorus stuck in my head for days! So excited for this next chapter of Greg Puciato! This cat deserves the biggest exposure and recognition for his beautiful art!

@@bretp7095 it was okay didnt hate it like their other stuff just made me want to listen to what reba can do on her own and not being second fiddle to that narcissistic vocalist

@@nobetter7747 I hear you but also think you are being too hard on Reba's guitar style. Agreed on that 'narcissistic vocalist' being CO's issue but she's way more creative than repackaging Deftones' riffs, except when she's being told by the vocalist to play the simplest stuff possible like on Out for Blood. Off the last album, You and You Alone, In Fear, and Swallowing the Rabbit Whole show plenty of unique and thoughtful guitarwork.
