Santino’s Greg seems to be a lot older and more jaded than everyone else, while still being extremely immature which made him a lot sadder. Skylar was fresher and felt like his humor got more “millennial.” Liked both though.

Oof, seeing the two Gregs together in the same video makes me feel bad for Greg 2.0. He did a good job but Holy shit was Santino a tough act to follow. All the best songs, best character, superbly acted. He provided the much needed anchor to Rebecca's world of insanity and when he left the show it lost a key ingredient. Diet Greg just isn't Greg.

I Hate Everything But You is Skylar's best but it's just not Greg's genre tbh despite how much I love the song. Greg's got more subtle hatred and the song just spells it out. On another note IT WAS A SH*T SHOW IS ONE OF THE BEST OF THE SETIES

I think I Hate Everything is more Rebecca projecting what she thinks Greg thinks. So it's not Greg being explicit about what he hates, it's Rebecca reading him as hating everything

Greg is such a #mood. See what I did there? Seriously though the more I think about it I see how much of a relatable character he is. I never really paid attention to the lyrics in what'll it be? (Hey west Covina) in the past but I found myself tearing up listening to it lately. I've always related to I could if I wanted to. I just need to start this comment with the fact that I am unhealthily obsessed with Skylar Astin and I really only found this show because of him… When I first started watching this show, I was mostly waiting for season four (for Skylar). Then, I started to get attached to Santino Fontanna and the way he played Greg. Sitting there watching him for the first two seasons, I thought about how both Skylar and Santino have similar mannerisms (based off of Skylar’s portrayal of Jessie in Pitch Perfect and Santino’s portrayal of Greg). I still haven’t seen Skylar as Greg yet, because I am still binging the show for the first time… I have a feeling that Skylar will do well (as well as you can after replacing someone so iconic in the show). The fact that I identified their similar mannerisms gives me hope for Skylar’s “Greg”.

I think “I could if I wanted to” is probably my least favorite. And “Settle for me” should have been an honorable mention and boost all the others up. Other than that I agree with you on this list. Greg’s drinking song is catchy and is well written/performed but the humor is not my thing and he definitely has better solo songs
